Regulation of the Heart  For adjusting and balancing qi in the heart and small intestine channels.

(1). Begin with warm-up movements.

(2). From natural stance shift 100% of weight to left foot, bring right foot in, touch toes (cat stance), at the same time form a ball shape with arms at middle level on left side of body, left arm on top and right arm on bottom.

(3). Stepping forward with right foot, shift your weight to right leg. At the same time extend right arm forward with palm up and extend left arm back with palm up. Simultaneously imagine a fireball move from your left hand penetrating your chest to the right hand to melt blockages.

(4). Shift your weight to rear leg, rotating arm positions. Imagine a fireball melting blockages in the channels as you twist and extend, looking in each direction that you shift. Front and back 3 times.

(5). Return to position described in step 2. Move the holding ball to the right, step to the right side and repeat the same movements to the right side. 3 times.

(6). When finished step 5, step back to natural stance (feet about shoulders apart). Drop arms to sides. Then bring arms up the sides (laterally) as high as your shoulders, palms face to front, middle fingers move backward, project your chest a little when stretching arms laterally. Pause a while. And then palms face up, the up part of your body and arms move backs a little (face upward) when stretching your arms laterally. Pause a while. Make the posture as you are hugging huge sun.

(7). Support a big ball with upward arms till two palms facing each other. Then, bend knees and elbows, and pour qi into your body with downward palms, at the same time, visualize yang qi (sunshine or sun) pass through head, heart reaching small intestine. Turn your palms upward or facing front, fingers point opposite. Then stretch arms upward and raise your body by stretching legs and standing on toes (to dredge heart channels again). Stop a while. Turn palms facing each other and hold a ball (fingers being upward). Bring the ball downward while your feet come down onto heels. Bring hands together gradually at the height of heaven eye (forehead). Continue to lead the ball to the center of your chest (heart) and bring prayer-posture hands is in front of (Shanzhong point, R17) (prayer position), with visualization of sun shining in your chest and warming all channels.

(8). Open base of palms and rotate arms so that hands face body, fingertips point away. Now, perform opening and closing movements with arms, emitting qi into point (Shanzhong point,R17)(heart region). Rolling forward and back on feet. 3 times. Then lead qi up to the tip of your tongue and next, guide qi down to lower dantian, and earth.

(9). Repeat warm-up movements to begin next cycle (movements 1~8). At least 3 cycles.

(10). End with closing movements.
